If you sing to me in French...

Thirtieth of May
The Mixtape #7: Something to do with Keyboards and Birthdays

10. The Velvet Underground - Sweet Jane
11. Maximo Park - Graffiti
12. Television - Marquee Moon
13. The Clash - White Man in Hammersmith Palais
- a highly musical interlude of 'Happy Birthday' on the synthesizer -

P.S. Wish us luck in our exams. If only we took Playlist Studies.

Stuck on you

If you're the lucky recipient of a Mixtape promo sticker... Congratulations!

Also, this is the right place to be - check us out 8-9pm Mondays on www.urfonline.com, leave a comment, email us... and enjoy.

And remember, Monday 16th Leah's flying solo - so one not to be missed!

We want your demos

Here at The Mixtape we are interested in furthering the cause of good music - and essentially, that often means new music. If you're hanging onto something you feel we should be playing, then get in contact via the Comments button below (anyone can comment, you don't have to be a member of Blogger). Leave contact details, and we'll be in touch...

A few notes:
-Your stuff must be on CD format so we can play it.
-If the sound quality's terrible, we can't play it. It'll only reflect badly on you anyhow!
-Look at our playlists and 'favourite bands' in the profile to see if your music would fit in.
-We can't return things you've sent to us, sorry.
-We reserve final say on these things... them's the breaks.

Also if you think beforehand of enclosing info such as a website, gig dates etc. that would be very cool and enable us to tell people a little more about you/your band. You don't have to be from Brighton/Sussex or even the UK, everywhere's cool although obviously you'll have to pay for postage... If you are a local band then this is a very good way to get people down your next gig.

Okay! We can't promise fame, but if you've ever wanted to hear your music on the radio then this is the opportunity. Get in touch!
